Conrad Centennial Singapore (Marina Bay)

Rating: 💎💎💎 #旅游金 #hiao
Conrad Centennial Singapore (Marina Bay)
Recommend: Singapore Flyer pool view, Spectacular Executive Lounge, Breakfast at Oscars, Fantastic Fitness facilities
👉Level 31 Executive Lounge with Bay (Fireworks era only) and City view
👉Delicious and sumptuous breakfast spread
👉Relaxing pool and kid's club playground
Looking for a family fun-filled staycay around Marina Bay? Why not head to @conradsingapore for a delightful experience?
Stunning 180 degrees marina bay and city view at their 31st storey executive lounge. Served with odd and even days variety menu (during Covid), small on quantity but big on quantity (plus unlimited Liver 🍾🍸🍹🍻🥂🍷 training)!! Make sure you stay at least 2 nights with lounge access to savour their Local 🍗 and English 🥯 high tea favourites.

Awesome swimming pool 🏊‍♂️with techno gym 🏋‍♂️facilities to keep your body fluid and fit all day! Their body fat weighing scale in the gym is a must try especially during these times that we keep eating and sleeping to get by.
.
For the kids, they have converted one of their pool side lounge into a kids 🧒👧 club playground. Rain or shine, you can keep them entertained throughout. Kudos to Conrad for meeting the needs of a family! 真的是老少皆宜!
#protip for rooms:
1) For marina bay views, go for even ending room numbers (No matter how hard we try, Pan Pacific and Parkroyal Marina Bay will always be blocking a part of the bay view). For suntec and city view, they are the odd numbered ones.
2) For best of bay view, try to aim for 06 or 02 (corner) stacks. If you want a glimpse of the Flyer with bay view, go for the leftmost corner unit (can't remember the stack number)
3) For those who do not have lounge access, aim for at least Premium King/Twin rooms for a complimentary well stocked minibar. That's the least you can satisfy your in-room F&B dream.
.
Food quality wise, above average than most SG hotels. Oscar's is a goto restaurant for all day dining 🍽🍹🥂
The only thing I wanna complain about is their lack of pillow menu and skinny supportless cotton-wool-like pillow. Their bed is comparable to most 5 star hotels, but their pillows just cannot make it🙅‍♂️🙅‍♀️. I will still rate Westin Singapore having the most heavenly sleep experience so far.
To end off with some additional perks, you get to collect their signature Conrad bears 🐻during your departure. However, don't try the yellow rubber duckie you get to play around in your bath tub. As for the bath salt, you probably can. There is also a complimentary car park (multiple exits) for hotel guests. Not sure why you need to roam outside when you are here for a staycay 🤔?
Folks with Hilton Honors Gold or Diamond membership, Conrad will be your top choice for Hilton hotels in Singapore. MAYBE even consider your next work from hotel venue???

Imakatsu (Tanjong Pagar)

Rating: 💎💎💎 #美食金 #jiak
Imakatsu @ 7 Wallich Road (Tanjong Pagar)
Recommend: Tonkatsu (fillet or loin)
Craving for some crispy on the outside and tender on the inside juicy pork (& 🐔🐟🦐)? #maituliao Go for their Premium Mix and Match sets (good value too! Save >$20) where you can choose 2 premium selections that comes with 4 different sides (Note that rice and miso soup is also a selection🤔).
For their sides, I chose oysters, aji, gyoza and rice with miso soup. All were good except the gyoza was meh...🤫

Their dipping sauce is quite pathetic IMO. Nevertheless, yummy food doesn't need the dip. #dipisfortheweak
👉Crispy deep fried batter
👉Tender, soft and juicy meats
👉Free flow cabbage (& iced water)
Once you place your orders, the best part will come! A prompt serving of free flow cabbage with sesame dressing will arrive at your table. Why best? Cause you can take off your mask to EAT!! 😅

Charcoal Fried Hokkien Mee (East Coast)

Rating: 💎💎💎 #美食金 #jiak
Geylang Lorong 29 Charcoal Fried Hokkien Mee #芽笼29巷福建面 @ 396 East Coast Road (Marine Parade)
Recommend: Anything cooked with Charcoal
Charcoal Surf Dialect Noodle (my copyright dish name for their charcoal fried hokkien mee) takes hokkien prawn noodles to a whole new dimension.
.
In every mouth, you can taste their charcoal infused "wok hey" noodles soaked in wet wet sticky sticky 😉 gravy (黏黏的感觉). Firm and succulent seafood (prawns and squids) ingredients just levels up the hawker dish. The only pity their chilli 🌶  did not make the mark to create a spicy blend, otherwise this will be my only hokkien mee stall to patronise.
.
👉Heavenly Charcoal taste in every bite
👉Quality firm prawns and squids
👉Hot and wet dish makes you go wild
They have a few outlets and I went to the East Coast one. Beside their stall, they also sell satay which I am a big fan. Definitely will be back for more!
.
About the oyster/prawn omelette, what about it? That's my review lor 😛😛😛
Just a note, they usually sell out by 8pm. So better try to be early!
