Craving for some crispy on the outside and tender on the inside juicy pork (& 🐔🐟🦐)? #maituliao Go for their Premium Mix and Match sets (good value too! Save >$20) where you can choose 2 premium selections that comes with 4 different sides (Note that rice and miso soup is also a selection🤔).
For their sides, I chose oysters, aji, gyoza and rice with miso soup. All were good except the gyoza was meh...🤫

Their dipping sauce is quite pathetic IMO. Nevertheless, yummy food doesn't need the dip. #dipisfortheweak

Recommend: Anything cooked with Charcoal
Charcoal Surf Dialect Noodle (my copyright dish name for their charcoal fried hokkien mee) takes hokkien prawn noodles to a whole new dimension.

In every mouth, you can taste their charcoal infused "wok hey" noodles soaked in wet wet sticky sticky 😉 gravy (黏黏的感觉). Firm and succulent seafood (prawns and squids) ingredients just levels up the hawker dish. The only pity their chilli 🌶  did not make the mark to create a spicy blend, otherwise this will be my only hokkien mee stall to patronise.

They have a few outlets and I went to the East Coast one. Beside their stall, they also sell satay which I am a big fan. Definitely will be back for more!

Need a cafe brunch idea for tomorrow? Family, dogs, kids and girlfriends friendly👯‍♀️ cafe (why no guy-friends friendly???🤔).
Awesome dining space: indoor for the cant live without aircon and outdoor seating for those who loves the sun and alfresco.

Recommendations: Aussie Style Breakkkie, Lunch & Dinner! Sandwiches, Pasta and Fried Wild Snapper.
Finally no flat and tasteless dory fish & chips. Quality snapper fish used and portion is damn huggggggge, just a pity that you gotta add on your own sides. But with #entertainer or #burpplebeyond, you have more savings to spend on additional sides 🤗.

The pulled pork ragu pasta is well flavoured with the cherry tomatoes giving you a sweetness boost. It is a pity that I cannot spot any big chunks of pork in the pasta, I guess it might be have "pulled" out from the chef's pan. But overall, a delicious mix of tomato based sauce that is not too sour 😋.

Located in the heart of CBD, remember to make your reservations (off peak) to avoid disappointment. If alfresco or dining by the roadside is your thingy, time to drop by! 😍

Recommendations: Anything with Peking Duck and your favourite Dim Sums.
Peking Duck Skin with crackers has a mouthful of flavours. You get to taste the Duck aroma with crispy crackers layered with refreshing vegetables. All the goodness without the fats. 😍
Their Dim Sum (especially Har Gow) are packed with ingredients to the brim. Whole prawn spotted! 🦐 If you want to eat the thick layers of skins in Dim Sums or Chee Cheong Fun, this is not the place to be.

👉Peking Duck (++ their Crackers or Handrolls)
👉Remarkable Dim Sums but Pricey
👉Awesome Nian Gao dessert to boot

Another crowd favourite would be their deep fried mango scallop roll. With many Dim Sums infused with prawns, having scallop brings another kind of seafood flavour onto the table. The mango is simply sweet and juicy.
We ordered the Seafood Pao Fan, but was a bit let down by the Dim Sum quality standards. Perhaps they have hyped up our expectations but this dish was just normal with slight tinge of seafood sweetness and pathetic prawn bits. We had better Pao Fan at Yun Nans and elsewhere. 

Unfortunately I didn't get to taste the Handroll or the whole Peking Duck. But you know what, that gives me another reason to return to explore more dishes from Kai Duck. 
Always looking out for great venues with great duck, perhaps they will be a strong competitor to Imperial Treasure Peking Duck which is still one of my Top restaurants for my Peking fix.
Did you know they have a special $1 dessert? Swipe to the last photo to enjoy the most coveted and rare dessert served in (NOT MANY) restaurants. Shhhhhh... it's just a dollar a piece, cheaper than your pot of tea.

Zhong Yu Yuan Wei (忠于原味) Wanton Char Siew Noodles (Tiong Bahru)

Recommendation: Char Siew and Premium Char Siew (不见天叉烧)
If this dish was on an Italian menu, it would read: Kurobuta Char Siew Angel Hair Pasta. The noodles are not the QQ type you expect, but it comes with a cleansed texture (no ghee smell) which is pretty hard to find nowadays. Their chilli and noodle sauce just compliments the Angel Hair chinese style noodles. 😋😋😋
They serve restaurant grade and quality ingredients at affordable hawker prices. Their wonton and dumpling skin is so soft and delicate. Their fillings are flavourful and not skimpy. I didnt get to try their Premium Char Siew today as it was sold out. The Premium one has more fats than the typical Char Siew. Probably this is a sign that I have to return for more.

👉Char Siew is tender and flavourful
👉Supple wonton and dumpling skin 
They do not sell Char Siew only noodles unless you are willinging to pay a premium of at least $15 for a dedicated plate of Char Siew. Attitude I Like! 
Usually they will sell out early, so try to be there before 12pm.

Simple comfort food for your usual morning fix (even for Lunch). Persistent long queue during meal times signifies the popularity of the stall for different reasons. Too bad I couldn't try the Lontong due to supplier shortage. Will be back to try all menu items.

👉Tacky signboard with 古早味 traditional flavours
Usually they are sold out by late lunch time around 1.30pm, so get your cravings earlier. #dunsaybojio ah!

Melbourne Coffee Wins.
I'm a strong supporter of Melbourne Coffee Roasters. Currently they have a pop up station inside a collaborative barber shop. The interiors are quite cool to begin with.
They have all your coffee needs except for decaf, pets and smoking. Insta worthy amd grammable decor just makes drinking coffee a hype. 
Limited one for one promotion they are running it for three days from 15-17 Feb 2021. Grab while you can!!!
P.S. Not sure if they are on printing budgets. The cups we got during 1 for 1 do not have the cutie girl logo.

A more premium zi char restaurant with Yun Nan flavours. Great for family get together to enjoy the nourishing soups and Spices infused cuisine. Note: CNY period they have limited edition Menu.

👉Slight Premium yet Reasonable portion

Their charcoal grilled items, simply dope! Spices have penetrated the flesh that every bite leaves you craving for more. 

The truffle hor fun has an instagrammable truffle sauce moment so make sure you get your cameras ready. I MISSED it, so you don't have to.

The Wok Hey is power and they are not stingy with the whole truffle slices that you can bite into. Although the prawns are a bit pathetic, the overall portion and truffle infused sauce flavours just won us over. They added some fried crunchy crackers that gives you multiple layers of happiness when you chew!
If your belly has some vacancy left, do give their Peach Gum White Fungus dessert a try. 
The cheaper Collagen alternative to Bird Nest that you can give your skin some lifting where we need most. A $6.90 bowlful of quality ingredients, where to find sia? Only at Yun Nans (not the hair growth one ah 🤭).

For Uni lovers, they are only charging you $15+ for an additional row top up. 🤤🤤🤤One more row!!! Better than 🛫flying to Japan (since you cannot fly now), simply no brainer.
I got a secret deal 🤫 with one of the handsome server, he turned my classic cheeseburger into a Uni-fied Atas Shit Japanese Fusion Cheeseburger going for only $24+
Will recommend you to eat your Uni burgers without the top bun to fully appreciate the freshness out of every bite into the Uni. Otherwise it might be just mashed into the brioche bun like a butter spread.🤷‍♂️
Everything fits perfectly and there is no need to further describe, you simply gotta taste it for yourself.

We ordered some of their black horse items and the fried chicken turned out to be quite good as well. Thick cripsy batter on the outside, juicy succulent flesh on the inside. 

For as long as your stomach and wallet can accommodate, I will recommend to get your fill and gobble while you can. They even sell burnt basque cheesecake where we have no room for it. Gotta give it a shot when we return!

Kure Menya (Chicken Collagen Broth)

Need a cozy CBD lunch fix near Tanjong Pagar? Why not give the Chicken 🐔 Ramen broth a try? There's no pork no lard, #halal for the community as well.
Their Rich Gao Gao Chicken (够力够力鸡汤) Collagen💆‍♀️ soup comes with chewy thick noodles. Although I prefer QQ noodles, the texture is somewhere in between QQ and flat.
Their char siew has so much TLC 🥰 that you know its well seasoned and tender. They have another sukiyaki version which I find it a bit over marinated for my liking. The black fungus, is acquired taste, so I leave you to google the health benefits.
Saving the best for last, the chilli paste just feels like Robin to Batman, it's a duo spicy kick combo! 🌶🌶 It's not very spicy according to Singapore standards. So give it a shot if you are open to it.

Wanted to know how good is the broth. 1p minutes after your meal, if you don't feel the urge to sip any drinks, viola! 真材实料! 赞👍赞!

Tucked away at a corner of level two Frasers Tower, they will need some highlights to attract the lunch crowd. Nice, clean simple ambience for your lunck kakis.
